Who We Are
We are a caring and collaborative behavioral health clinic across from Akron Neurology and the Copley High School athletic fields. We offer psychiatry and talk therapy in a friendly and inviting space on an outpatient and telehealth basis. What separates us from more traditional clinics is specialized medications and treatments including Ketamine, Spravato and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Also, unlike other ketamine and TMS clinics, our board-certified psychiatrist sees patients as an active medical director. We do regular outreach to the people in our community with treatment resistant depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD as well as neuropathic pain. Since our founding in early 2019, our vision has always been to help patients feel better sooner so that they can resume productive lives, and to fill in treatment gaps along with like-minded organizations. Our team understands the debilitating effects of mood disorders and chronic pain. We believe in the combination of treatments and specialties in concert with psychiatry and therapy. We also believe in the necessity of healing the whole person: mind, body and spirit. We hope that if you are in emotional and or physical pain you will reach out and schedule a consultation with one of our practitioners and begin your journey of healing. We are here for you when you are ready. Peace!
Compassion: We strive to bring genuine love and kindness to all of our patient engagements. We want each patient to feel that they are being heard and that their needs are being addressed. Emotional and physical pain keep our patients from living a full and purposeful life. We want them to find relief and begin a journey towards regaining a life of balance and joy.
Less Judgement and More Love: The past year has been very difficult for everyone. Though we would like to help our patients move forward we do not want to dismiss the difficulties they have been through or the challenging place that they find themselves in. Our approach is to find solutions and not stand in judgement. We want everyone we spend time with to feel they are equally appreciated and cared for.
Sustainability: Over 90% of our patients see initial positive results with our cutting-edge therapies, but we are not interested in short-term success. Some of our patients do achieve healing and no longer need our services. With others, we integrative affordable, consistent care and set doable goals so we can continue to empower them through a life-long journey to better health.
Holistic Care: Rather than relying on one philosophy (usually natural medicine), we define holistic care as accepting the continuum from herbs, supplements, and lifestyle changes to daily medications to advanced therapies. It is vital to high quality care that our patients feel that all of their mental health and physical pain issues are being addressed and that we are overseeing ongoing review and well thought out advice. We desire to address mind, body and spirit with each of our patients.
Honesty: Figuring out insurance coverage is difficult, and some of our treatments are self-pay. We are transparent about costs and do not take advantage of the fact that we often administer life-saving care to patients who have failed multiple treatments for pain, anxiety, and depression. We are truthful about the likelihood of remission and the risks and benefits of various treatment options, and individualize treatment rather than standardizing extensive programs.
Continuum of Care: We realize that our sophisticated technology and treatment options seem like bright and shiny versions of “the next big thing.” By only providing the care patients need, they have the freedom to maintain relationships with referring providers and enjoy better health from experts working in cooperation.
